A BIG STEP
« A big step... for me»
— Andros Dresamore i

Critical text
by André de Sá Moreira
In front of a red light, Andros Dresamore i advances slowly, exactly aligned with the green pedestrian pictogram. The image freezes the step, the body becomes a living icon. In the background, the music of The Walking Dead transforms the scene into an absurd funeral march, somewhere between survival and signaling. The pictogram is embodied. The man becomes the fire, and the fire becomes the man. It's a precisely measured, almost useless gesture. And yet, we can't help but see a kind of administrative zombie here: a being who walks because a drawing tells him to walk. The music of The Walking Dead adds a dizziness: are we all the undead of traffic signals, subject to the green light to exist?
A tribute to everyday icons. The green man will never look innocent again.
