CHICKEN

“I often dream that they can fly away...”
— Andros Dresamore i

Critical text

by André de Sa Moreira

Since Cage, Beuys, and Fishli & Weiss, interspecies dialogue in art has often descended into the symbolic or the kitsch. Dresamore i , however, opts for another path: a peripheral presence of the bird. In a world that does not understand its cries, the artist shouts, opens his eyes wide, and frowns in controlled agitation.
Poule is not a work about the hen. It is a work about the hen , for and against it.

What he tells us: The chicken is perhaps the future of the world, because like us, it is a bird that does not fly. Despite what we are led to believe.
